Gugulethu Nyatsumba is the founder and host of a visual podcast called ‘After School Is After School With Sis G.U’ and GN & Co, a multimedia and entertainment company.
Having started off her digital creator journey as a YouTuber, Gugulethu says it was her subscribers who encouraged her to start her podcast which has immensely paid off for the creative star. She has used her platform to share her life experiences vulnerably in a way that relates to a lot of people. Her podcast has one of the biggest podcast listenership in Africa.
Gugulethu has since been working closely with Spotify Africa hosting LIVE visual recordings of her podcast in collaboration with many brands including Spotify Music and Nike Well Collective to name a few. Her thriving career is testament to her hard work and tenacious dedication to her craft which has led to other exciting opportunities.
This year saw Gugulethu hosting the BNG red carpet event at the Miss SA 2024 crowning event. This comes after her feature in House of BNG’s Valentine’s Day campaign earlier in the year. She recently made an appearance on entrepreneur and BNG founder, Bonang Matheba’s reality show where Bonang revealed Nyatsumba would be working closely with the BNG brand.
“My approach with my content is to show up as myself, to share my stories and to be vulnerable so that those listening can hopefully take something away from my experiences and realize that they too can get through whatever situation it is that I am talking about. It’s also very important to me that my audience see through my journey that it is possible to succeed in this industry by just being yourself,” Gugulethu recently said in an interview.
