Ratile Mabitsela on Rebuilding After Loss and the Over 30 Under 50 Forbes Africa List

Entrepreneur and reality star, Ratile Mabitsela has experienced great success in her career and also loss in her personal. Now in a new season, the beauty was in attendance for the 2026 Forbes Woman Africa’s Leading Women Summit where she opened up to us about rebuilding, fashion and how she has her eyes on the Forbes Africa Over 30 Under 50 list.

“I was sitting there visualising ’30 under 50″ with my face there. Nothing is impossible. I think because where I am right now, I’m in a space where I’m rebuilding and recovering after loss and it’s like you lose not just yourself. To a point I feel like I lost my identity and I’m at a process and time where I’m giving back to myself. I am self empowering because I’ve realised that no matter how much of a sad story you have, that sad story is not going to take you out of the rut and it is up to you to build,” she said.

“I hate to say it but African child, we’re on our own. No one is coming to save us but there is a community of amazing women and gents who are in a space of empowering young entrepreneurs and opening up spaces for people who have capacity and potential.”

In its February-March 2026 Issue, Forbes Africa released the third edition of the annual Over 30 Under 50 list which features women from across all industries on the African continent who are leading with power, shaping brands and businesses that are built to last while in the 30s and 40s.
