Hosted by L’Oréal in partnership with Garnier SA, Maybelline Africa, Dark & Lovely Africa, and L’Oréal Research and Innovation, the Beauty University was a multi-sensory experience. Brand ambassadors, Influencers, content creators, makeup artists, hairstylists and beauty enthusiasts were all in attendance and got to engage with various touch points from skin and hair analysis to science-backed product education.
Each brand set up interactive activation points, letting attendees get hands-on with products while learning more about them.
At the heart of the event were the beauty masterclasses, fast becoming one of the most effective tools in the beauty marketing playbook. Beauty creators like hair content creator, Phaello Tshabalala and makeup content creator, Lloyd Beauty didn’t just demonstrate techniques, they served as real-time ambassadors, translating product features into relatable, results-driven tutorials. It’s beauty education wrapped in influence.
Whilst these events are open to the public, most influencers and creators attend in partnership with the brands hosting the event. The result? A steady stream of content, product reviews, tutorials, behind-the-scenes footage that stretches the impact of the event far beyond the room.
It’s an opportunity for influencers and creators to get meaningful, on-brand content, while brands tap into their reach and credibility. Especially in a market where trust and community matter, these influencer-led experiences are proving to be a powerful way for beauty brands to reach new audiences and deepen brand loyalty.
