There is glam, and then there is full glam.
At the recent Revlon Match Made Masterclass, makeup artist and beauty creator Mbali Christina showed exactly what happens when colour, technique and a little confidence come together, creating a striking Revlon Full Glam look that put the focus on luminous skin, high-impact eyes and a beautifully defined lip.
The good news? This look is not reserved for the makeup artist’s chair.
Using a mix of Revlon ColorStay, Glimmer and PhotoReady favourites, Mbali’s approach is all
about layering strategically, playing with colour and knowing exactly where to add impact. Her face chart combines four eyeliner shades, two liquid shadows, two eyeshadow palettes, and two blush shades, making it a masterclass in using colour without letting the finished look feel overwhelming.
“Full glam is all about creating drama with thin layers. I LOVE using elements of visual art such as colour and shape to subtly make the eyes, lips and cheeks pop! A simple, bold detail can go a long way.” Says Mbali.

START WITH SKIN THAT GLOWS:
The secret to a successful full-glam look starts long before the eyeshadow goes on. Mbali’s complexion combination includes Revlon ColorStay Face + Body Glow Lotion, ColorStay Longwear Foundation and Full Cover Flex Wear Concealer, followed by Blot Powder where needed.
The makeup artist trick here is balance. Rather than mattifying the entire face, keep luminosity on the high points and control shine only where necessary. This gives the complexion polish without losing its natural dimension.
For colour, Mbali combines Revlon Glimmer Blush Drops in Pink It Over and Coralicious. Mixing pink and coral creates a multidimensional flush that brings warmth and freshness back into a full- coverage complexion. The look is finished with Revlon ColorStay Lock 24HR Setting Mist.
“The biggest full glam tip I give my students is to build the powder. I love powder blush, baking with setting powder, creating dimension with powder contour and highlighter – they all bring the face to life. But use all these powder products sparingly. This helps keep the skin looking smooth and beautiful both in person and in photos.” Says Mbali.
THE EYES ARE WHERE THE FUN STARTS:
Rather than relying on one eyeshadow palette, the look layers Revlon Glimmer Liquid Shadow in Glimmerverse and Rock It with shades from the ColorStay Looks Book Palette in Player. The result is a rich wash of jewel-toned colour with shimmer and dimension. Then comes one of the most interesting techniques in the look: eyeliner is not just black.
