Mpoomy Ledwaba and Victor Matfield are Truecaller’s First SA Ambassadors

Swedish company, Truecaller has officially made its way to South Africa with the help of two of the biggest names in Sports and content creation. Mompreneur and podcaster Mpoomy Ledwaba and Rugby legend Victor Matfield have been announced as Truecaller’s first ever South African brand ambassadors.

The two brand ambassadors were revealed at an exclusive launch event held on Johannesburg this week. Speaking on the new partnership, Mpoomy shared why she wanted to be part of it.

“I’m a businesswoman, I’m a mother and a wife. At the cracks of who I am is communication. I have to make sure I’m connected to business, my clients, my team, and my family as well. Now it’s gotten to a point where when my phone rings I just wanna put it away. When they [truecaller] started speaking trust, safety and communication… that’s my language and if we’re not safe with our phones what’s the point?,” she said.

“We cannot thrive in a space or economy or home when we don’t feel safe. When I was asked to anchor safety, trust and communication, I was like, ‘you’re speaking my language’.”

The brand promises to support safer, more transparent communication for its users and helping businesses connect with customers through Verified Business Caller ID that builds trust from the first ring.
